We, the Hatchery Group GmbH & Co. KG, Donnersmarckallee 10, 13465 Berlin are the operator of the mimple network, as well as the linked portals (Communities) and the services offered on it, and thus responsible for the collection, processing and use of your personal data as defined by the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). The orderly handling of your personal data is a particular concern for us.

That is why we are happy to inform you of how we handle your personal data below. Your personal data will be collected during the use of our portal to the following extent and for the following purposes:


1. Scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of personal data

a. when accessing one of the portals of mimple networks

When our website is visited our servers temporarily store each time it is accessed in a log file. The following data will be recorded in this process without your knowledge and stored by us until they are automatically deleted:
- the IP address of the requesting processor,
- the date and the time of access,
- the name and the URL of the downloaded file,
- the website from which the site was accessedand
– your computer's operating system and the browser used by you.
The purpose of recording these data is to allow use of the Web site (connection setup), for system security, for technical administration of the network infrastructure, in order to optimize our Internet service and for internal statistical purposes. The IP address is only evaluated in the event of fraudulent access to the network infrastructure of mimple. and for statistical purposes.

We do not compile any personal user profiles

b. when registering as a user on the portal.

The entry of personal data for the production and completion of the profile is performed voluntarily. However the truthful entry of certain details is compulsory. This concerns:

- The data as referred to in a.)
– a user name,
– a password,
- your Christian name and surname,
- your sex,
- your date of birth,
- your e-mail address,
- your postcode
- your residence,
- your country.

We need the data for the processing and administration of our portal, to inspect whether the data entered is plausible and the user is legally competent, i.e. for the foundation, content, processing and amendment of the contractual relationship with you concerning the use of our portal and for the personalisation of any advertising that has been displayed

c. during the use of the portal as a registered user.

During the use of the portal we collect and store data for statistical purposes to enable the seamless functionality of the portal, to enable the tracking of potential violation of law and to display it to other users and to yourself. This includes the following in particular:
- the data as described in a.) and b.)
– the identity and number of your confirmed/unconfirmed mimple network contacts;
- the type, frequency and intensity of the use of the portal;
- the duration of your membership
- the content that you produce
- amendments.


2. Transferring of your data to third parties.
We promise based on our unfortunate experiences and deepest belief: We will never sell your data or pass it on to anyone! Your data will only and exclusively be passed on with your consent. Your personal data will only be displayed in the view of your profile to the extent that you permit this in your profile settings. We have stipulated as a presetting for the data that you can enter when registering that they can be seen by all your Contacts. Following registration a Contact is initially only a Contact whose invitation you used to register with mimple. You can of course immediately change this setting following the registration using the “Settings" option. You determine who sees which elements of your data – you have complete control! Only the following data is always displayed - visibly for third parties:

– Your Christian name,. maiden name and surname,
– your residence,
– your country
– your age
– your sex
– your link to another user
– your postcode.

In addition the following statistical data can be viewed by third parties:
- The number of your confirmed contacts;
- the number of times your profile is accessed;
- your activity index
– your accession date.
In addition we only pass on personal data to third parties if there is a statutory obligation to do so. The data shall additionally be transferred to third parties if it is necessary to enforce our rights and in particular to enforce claims resulting from the contractual relationship.


3. Information, correction, blocking and deletion of your data.

You have a right to be notified about your personal data that is stored by us at any time or view it and change it by logging onto our Portal with your Login-details. You can also delete your data or your user profile at any time. You can also do this by using the corresponding option in your user profile or by sending a corresponding e-mail request by e-mail to datenschutz@mimple.net. Please be aware that the use of our services is impossible or not possible to the full extent if your data is deleted.


4. Data security.

We make use of appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data that is stored by us against manipulation, partial or complete losses and against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures will be continuously improved in accordance with the latest technological developments.


5. Cookies.

Cookies help in many ways to make your visit to our portal simpler, more pleasant and more meaningful. Cookies are alphanumeric information files which automatically store your web browser on the hard drive of your computer if you visit our website.

For instance we use cookies to be able to identify you as a user without you being required to log in separately. The use of it does not lead to us receiving new personal data about you as an online visitor. The majority of Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. For the inclusion of advertisement into our Portal, we us third party services. These third parties may use information of your visits to this and other websites that is stored in cookies in order to provide you with ads about goods and services that may be of interest to you. That information especially do not include your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number or other personal data directly connected to you.
